Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience started at the age of 14. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd was able to continue building upon her triumph in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her competitors in the initial round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd won her next fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round by TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's debut fight as a Bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar in second round. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. She won her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight but Aspen won and beat Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. Ladd remained in the lead, and won another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. She fought her first big fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd was victorious in the unanimous decision after some great exchanges among the pair of fighters, received an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, breaking the streak of winning. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
